Baringa is a small boutique stud situated in the Inlet Valley of Attunga NSW, 21km's north of Tamworth (Country Music Capital).
Originally established as an Australian Pony Stud in the early 1950's by my grandparents Nancy & Max Kentwell, Baringa was home to the legendary Australian Pony Stallion "Lowlyn Silver Chief ". Nancy & Max had a great passion for the Australian Pony and enjoyed wonderful success in the show ring, as well as with the stud and their imortal sire "Chief".
After their retirement Baringa was passed down to my mother Claire to continue on with, along with her and my father's stud which was Wilgaroo Pony Stud. Both studs have had much success, although showing had been quite limited due to farming commitments.
After the passing of Nancy & Max it was decide that the two studs be merged and in 1999 it was decided that the 'Baringa' prefix be retained.
With my love for the beautiful Riding Ponies and being more involved with the stud over recent years it was decided that the stud take a new directon in its breeding program, to breed and produce quality Riding Ponies.
Our aim is to breed quality Riding Ponies and Galloways with correct conformation, movement and temperament capable of winning at top level under saddle as well as in hand.

We congratulate Alex Jones on the purchase of the lovely galloway filly "Baringa Fashion Statement". We wish Alex well with her and look forward to them embarking on a saddle career in the near future.
Stud news
Due to the on going drought and the need to keep our numbers down to a manageable level it was decided to only join two mares again this year. Langtree Dancing Waters has been joined again to the lovely "Myscal Encore", her beautiful colt by Encore is offered for sale, visit for sale page for details.
Baring Amazing Grace has been joined to the exciting young sire "Roseden Beyond Expectations".
With us needing to reduce our breeding stock our much loved "Helden Park Glamour Girl" has been sold. This decision was not made lightly and she has found a wonderful loving home with the Coulton family and we wish them all the best with this beautiful mare. We have retained her stunning daughter "Baringa Glamour Girl" as a future broodmare.
